Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:

This role is focused on conducting in-depth research to identify high-value projects, and the corresponding key decision-makers within targeted industries. The primary method for accomplishing this will involve analyzing and extracting insights from various industry data feeds, to identify valuable leads and uncover market opportunities that align with our established sales and marketing criteria.
We are essentially looking for someone who excels at gathering and analyzing market data to identify strategic opportunities, so if you have a strong aptitude for digital market research and possess the ability to locate key.
projects and decision-makers, this role would be an excellent fit for you. As part of our projects team, you will play a critical role in helping drive business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Growing New Business: Interrogating various industry-related sources and databases to identify high-value projects and decision makers for opportunity pipeline growth; researching leads from industry publications, lead service providers, general news/social media platforms and team members in the field
  2. Stakeholder Research: Identification and capturing of industry-relevant, as well as segment-focused stakeholders and contacts for both the international and local markets (inclusive of sourcing and creating databases to support both the sales and marketing teams)
  3. Market Research: Providing support to the Lead Project Researcher in the exploration of new and existing opportunities for scaling, that may involve tackling specific market segments, expanding product lines and increasing marketing efforts, to seek out new business opportunities
  4. Construction Industry Research: Providing support to the Lead Project Researcher in staying abreast of emerging industry trends, preferences and consumer behaviors, competitive landscape analysis and identifying potential gaps in the market to drive new business through the Belgotex value proposition

  5. Systems & Processes: Work within our CRM database to manage the sales pipeline; from the loading of new projects, adding and updating of stakeholders and contacts, as well as creating industry databases to support the Belgotex internal and field sales teams 6. Team Collaboration: Ensure that you work hard to create and maintain a productive working relationship with the Lead Project Researcher and internal and field project sales team, and assure that your relationship with team members is productive and free from conflict. Also ensure not to engage in behavior that is damaging to – or in competition with – our company policies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Business Management or relevant field
  • Previous experience (3-5 years) in a research role is advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Meticulous attention to detail in execution and data entry
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Must be able to work independently
