Position Summary We are growing and looking for a Junior Property Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company. This person will be involved in helping implement best practices and improve efficiency. We are looking for someone that has a positive attitude, flexible and adaptable to change, is looking for a challenge, and is excited to grow into this role. Location and Schedule: On-site in Scottsdale, AZ. Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM This position requires additional hours as needed to meet deadlines. Performance Objectives Adhere to the Core Values Platform and Policies and Procedures Manual Manage employee petty cash accounts and charges for assigned properties Manage company credit card accounts Reconcile GL and book correcting entries Reconcile bank accounts on a weekly basis Reconcile loan statements Review aged AP and submit open AP reports Review AR and submit AR reports to the field Set up new vendors Assist field staff with invoice coding as needed Assist senior staff and Controller as needed Perform monthly review of financial statements, prepare financial reports for the field staff Perform P&L variance analysis, review discrepancies, post accruals & research missing invoices Requirements Key Competencies Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment Developed analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail Problem-solving skills Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Experience with MS Office-Word, Excel, and Outlook Advanced Excel experience is highly desired Physical Requirements Constantly sit, talk, or hear; Frequently use hands. Manual dexterity for handling paperwork and using office equipment. Clear vision and hearing for reviewing documents and communicating effectively. Capability to lift up to 25 pounds.
