Description

WHO WE ARE:

KL&A is an IT consulting firm that knocks the socks off our clients. We work closely with organizations across the United States to develop creative business solutions through project & program management and custom software applications so they can focus on what’s most important…their mission.
We are honored to be named a Top Workplace by the Detroit Free Press for seven consecutive years! Here at KL&A, we love what we do and believe that our employees are our greatest asset which is why we search for the best and brightest (and perhaps the most caffeinated) of the bunch.
KL&A is a remote-first company, providing employees with the flexibility to choose their ideal work environment. Staff in Michigan have the option to work from our welcoming office space, from the comfort of their homes, or a combination of the two. For employees outside of Michigan, remote work is the default, and we enthusiastically welcome applicants from across the country to join our team. No matter where you’re located, you’ll have the tools and support to thrive in your preferred setting—whether it’s a home office, a cozy couch, or anywhere else that inspires productivity.

Responsibilities

As a Junior Proposal Writer, you’ll work closely with the Proposal Manager, technical subject matter experts, content contributors, teammates, and business development leaders. You will participate in many stages of the proposal development lifecycle (PDLC) from solicitation analysis through content development, review and editing, to final production. You’ll work closely with contributors, especially technical solution teams, to ensure all contributed content is well-written, meets standards, and, most importantly, clearly demonstrates how the proposed solution meets the client’s needs. Experience in the software or product development world is a bonus that will help you identify areas within a technical narrative that may require additional detail or seem confusing to evaluators. In between proposals, you’ll work with the Proposal Manager to ensure content assets are created or updated, maintaining a high-quality, robust library. This position is remote-eligible with a work schedule compatible with the Eastern Time Zone.
