JOB DESCRIPTION
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, payment conditions, and discounts with suppliers.
Responsibility to draft, review, and sign supplier contracts, ensuring they meet company legal and operational requirements.
Oversee inventory levels and decide on reordering quantities to ensure optimal stock without over-purchasing or stockouts.
Authority to manage the purchasing budget and ensure spending is within the approved limits for the department.
Ensure that purchased goods meet the company’s quality standards, with the right to reject goods that fail to comply.
Manage ongoing supplier relationships, fostering good partnerships, or terminating non-performing suppliers.
Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
Authority to conduct market research, compare prices, and assess industry trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
Verify supplier invoices and liaise with the Finance department for timely payment.
