Job Description We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. Reporting to the Management Accountant, you’ll be part of a small, friendly team where you’ll be encouraged to use your own initiative and develop your skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is flexible in supporting ad-hoc duties when needed. Key Responsibilities: Processing purchase invoices and matching them to purchase orders from depots Supporting weekly and month-end BACS payment runs Completing supplier statement reconciliations Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner Generating weekly invoices and associated reports Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks Qualifications Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills GCSE Maths Grade B minimum PC literate in Word and Outlook. Must have extensive experience with Microsoft Excel. Must be capable of working well under pressure Good time management skills and ability to work to deadlines Have the ability to identify and suggest improvements Be willing to take responsibility and accountability Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year Have experience of working alone and as part of a team Highly motivated to achieve and progress Knowledge of warehousing software systems would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
