JUNIOR QA AUTOMATION DEVELOPER
Location: HQ – Fort Lauderdale, FL (Hybrid)

At SkyHop Technologies, we’re powering innovation in the travel and transportation space with resilient, scalable, and secure solutions. We are seeking a motivated Junior QA Automation Developer to join our Quality Engineering team and help build a large suite of automated end-to-end tests using Playwright for our complex, React-based web application. You will work closely with our Senior SDET[SE1] , gaining hands-on experience with modern test automation practices while contributing directly to product quality and reliability.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to grow their skills in test automation, modern JavaScript/TypeScript development, GitHub-based workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
· Master’s degree and relevant certifications highly preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
· Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar test automation frameworks.
· Proficiency with JavaScript development.
· Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, DOM, GraphQL APIs.
· Ability to use CSS selectors and DOM-based locators for test automation.
· Experience with Git/GitHub for version control and team collaboration.
· Familiarity with creating or maintaining automated test frameworks.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
· Commitment to software quality, reliability and continuous improvement.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods, as well as frequent operation of a computer and other office productivity equipment.
· Ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse, and to view a computer screen for extended periods.
· Occasional movement within an office environment to attend meetings or access office equipment and resources.
· The person in this role must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
· Ability to focus and concentrate for extended periods and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· May require occasional off-hours support for critical incidents or deployment schedules.
· The role may occasionally involve moving or transporting materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
· The role requires the ability to work in a hybrid schedule, with regular in-office presence at our Fort Lauderdale, FL headquarters and remote work as part of the essential functions of the position.
