Job Description Job Purpose: The Junior Telemetry Specialist is responsible for validating and monitoring telemetry events to ensure accuracy, compliance, and reliability of game data. The role supports data quality through structured testing, defect reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, contributing to informed decision-making across game development and live operations. IMPACT: Validates telemetry events and attribute values against defined specifications and shipping conditions to ensure data accuracy. Able to create jira dashboards and have knowledge of advance jira and rich filters. Identifies, documents, and reports telemetry-related defects using standard defect tracking tools, supporting timely resolution. Executes test requests and game validation activities under the guidance of senior specialists or the telemetry team lead. Prepares and shares test reports to communicate validation status, risks, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders. Supports small-scale projects or post-launch titles, handling prioritization, reporting, and communication within a defined scope. Provides operational support to internal teams by responding to telemetry-related queries and issues. Maintains high testing standards in alignment with telemetry guidelines defined by HQ and technology teams. Ensures proper care and responsible use of assigned hardware and software assets. INNOVATION Contributes to continuous improvement by documenting issues, mistakes, and breakthroughs to enhance future processes, tests, and tools. Participates in team discussions related to improving testing processes, technical approaches, and inclusion of new testing scopes. Identifies risks and proposes mitigation actions under supervision. Good to have: Suggests basic automation ideas or testing optimizations to improve efficiency at project or specialization level. KNOWLEDGE Theoretical and Practical Knowledge Entry-level knowledge of SDKs and platform-specific tools, with basic practical exposure. Understanding of telemetry specialty requirements, applied during day-to-day testing tasks. Entry-level understanding of networking concepts, used when executing related test scenarios. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, applied for documentation and reporting. Knowledge of defect and test management tools (JIRA, X-Ray, TestRail) and their practical use in tracking and reporting. Basic understanding of first-party tools and guidelines across platforms, followed during testing activities. Basic knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, with exposure to reviewing telemetry data. Solid understanding of game design fundamentals across multiple genres, considered during test execution. Solid knowledge of QC processes, milestone criteria, and production lifecycles, followed during assigned tasks. Ability to operate, set up, and troubleshoot Windows PCs for daily work activities. Ability to use, configure, and troubleshoot tools related to telemetry testing. Ability to execute test plans, validate telemetry data, and follow defined workflows accurately.
