JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be working alongside our own QS, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, providing valuable insights and support throughout each project.
A knowledge in construction would be a huge advantage.
You will be joining a close-knit team, many of whom have worked together for many years.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • HND/ degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost estimations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration throughout the projects.
  • Very good organisational skills, including a memory to cope with several hundred things a day!
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications for quantity surveying and project management.
    Wages to be discussed, depending on experience.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Monitor project costs and implement effective cost control measures to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies for various projects.
  • Analyse and evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers to ensure value for money.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with the site teams.
  • The ability to work unattended.
