Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who has recently graduated in Quantity Surveying or a related field, or has up to 2 years of relevant industry experience. You will assist in managing the costs of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience (internships or graduate roles considered).
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC), and procurement practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, CostX is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally within a supportive team.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Support the procurement process including sourcing suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Measure quantities and assist with the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
  • Help manage project finances, track variations, and assist with interim and final valuations.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify work completed for payment.
  • Assist in cost control and value engineering initiatives.
  • Work with the Senior QS to assess and evaluate subcontractor and supplier performance.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and legal requirements.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and contractors to ensure effective communication and cost management.
