Description

Junior Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator required to join an in house team for an established property developer.
Suitable for a young person, with a knowledge of the industry looking to gather more practical experience
The successful candidate would be experienced in residential property development, as the role will entail creating and managing budget. As well as working alongside senior directors and foreman to plan and manage projects of large scale conversions and new build sites for residential purposes.
The role will be based in Derbyshire/Staffordshire, but may also extend to projects in Manchester and North Wales.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience of working with and reporting to housing associations would also be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Eque2 – Construct programme or similar would be advantageous but not essential
  • Quantity Surveying experience would also be advantageous
  • Knowledge of construction VAT rules & CIS would also be advantageous but not essential
  • Preferably an Individual with good knowledge of Microsoft office in particular Microsoft excel is essential.

  • Assist with reviewing drawings and tender documentation
  • Help quantifying materials and labour.
  • Help Preparing budgets
  • Providing support for takeoffs
  • Prepare progress reports and help with Build Programs
  • Source and organise supplier and subcontractor quotes
  • Maintain and update cost databases via Eque2 Contruct
  • Participate in site visits and project meetings
