THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our mission critical projects (pharma/data centres) in Cork. The successful applicant will work closely with the project leadership team and wider Commercial department to ensure the successful delivery of the projects for our clients and stakeholders.

Reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor, here are some of the key duties of this role:

  • Provide commercial and contractual administration support to the Senior QS and/or Commercial Manager
  • Undertaking internal valuations and production of cost reports
  • Supporting the management of applicable subcontract packages and overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
  • Assisting with reporting on project budgets and variations
  • Distribute and track invoices to various project owners / leads for approval
  • Respond to and resolve enquiries from Suppliers, Procurement, and Finance departments (including monthly accruals) in a professional and timely manner

KEY QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Trade Qualification or similar
  • 1- 3 years postgraduate experience in the construction sector.
  • Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to present findings.
  • Good communication skills and high computer literacy.
  • Full license and own reliable transport.
