SUMMARY:

Join our R&D division at our Treviso location and become a vital part of our team. As a Junior R&D Specialist, you will delve into various areas such as functional textures, additive manufacturing, polymer molding via injection press, and mechanical processing. You’ll be involved in a multidisciplinary environment, conducting studies, tests, and characterizations related to the two special projects, and support in other R&D activities.

Essential Duties:

• Conduct literature studies
• Design experiments
• Operate laser engraving machines, injection mold machines, and testing instruments
• Perform 3D mechanical design
• Analyze data and prepare project reports
• Support the management of Project Work Packages
• Assist in Standex production activities related to the projects
• Maintain relationships with project partners and consortiums
• Manage the supply chain (purchasing) for project needs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Solid understanding of polymeric and metal materials
• Basic knowledge of industrial processes (injection molding, machining, additive manufacturing)
• Preferable expertise in Surface Functionalization and laser engraving processes
• Proficiency in 3D mechanical design software
• Excellent reporting skills and ability to conduct literature studies
• Familiarity with Office Package (e.g., Excel, Word)
• Strong data analysis skills
• Proactive with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Educational Requirements/Experience:

• Master’s degree in scientific matter (e.g., materials engineering)
• Minimal or no professional experience required
• Good command of the English language
