Job Overview Hospitality Confidential is looking for a talented and highly qualified candidate to join us as a full time Junior Recruiter. As a Junior Recruiter, you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, interviewing, and selecting diverse pools of qualified candidates for our hospitality and F&B adjacent clients. Being successful in this role will require the ability to independently perform market research on national hospitality and F&B sectors. You will also be collaborating with the senior recruitment team while they lead recruitment for a variety of executive hiring managers (our clients). You will be responsible for evaluating the organization’s talent needs, providing relevant market insights, and garnering constant feedback throughout the search process. The job will require maintenance of regular timely correspondence and scheduling efficiently for clients and potential candidates. We are seeking extremely organized candidates with natural relationship building skills as well as a track record of accomplishing long term goals that require patience, consistency, and persistence. A deep interest in ethical hiring practices is important for this role. Responsibilities Attending and note taking during Search Parameter meetings with interested clients and inquiring about the job’s function, qualifications, compensation and any other related matters. Market mapping and research in varied national cities or regions where clients are based. Attending industry events, maintaining a working knowledge of hospitality and F&B trends, and consistently networking within the hospitality and F&B sector. Performing volume-based outreach and building a strong bench of interested candidates from a variety of places for sourcing candidates in a timely fashion and as promised contractually to clients. Prospecting, developing, and approaching strategic leads for business development/clients on a weekly basis through cold mails, cold calls, and warm leads. Developing alternative recruitment strategies if required. Screening resumes and interviewing potential candidates on a regular basis through zoom or video call. Creating comprehensive and highly specific candidate profiles for client’s consideration and submitting them in a regular and timely fashion. Preparing and maintaining timely correspondence with clients and candidates and senior recruitment team. Checking and preparing references. Completing ongoing recruitment, DE&I, and unconscious bias training. Updating Client Grades. Regularly asking for google reviews. Adhering in all professional relationships, internal and external, and affairs to a strong code of moral and ethical behavior including but not limited to transparency, respect, and honesty. Compliance with all remote work and hybrid schedule policies including requests for time off or schedule adjustments from time to time. Meeting all assigned KPI’s and productivity standards as assigned by management. Physical Requirements Ability to remain in a seated position for extended periods, for over 75% of the workday. Occasionally required to move throughout the office environment to access files, office equipment, or other work-related materials. Frequently operates a computer and other standard office equipment, such as a keyboard, mouse, and cell phone. Must be able to verbally and non-verbally communicate clearly and effectively to exchange information with colleagues, clients, and others in the English language, including the ability to perceive and convey information accurately. Must assess the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. Must perform repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must occasionally move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another. Must occasionally commute to offsite industry events potentially once a week, and clearly and effectively exchange information verbally and non-verbally with others in the English language. Requirements Must be able to commute to the office in Los Angeles daily during training and 1-2x a week thereafter. 2+ years of previous experience as an Agency Recruiter or Corporate Recruiter or Sourcer. Hospitality recruitment is strongly preferred. 2+ years of previous managerial or hourly experience in the hospitality or F&B field with a continued interest in and working knowledge of the business. Exceptional organization skills and tendency to work with a sense of urgency. Emotionally intelligent, diplomatic, and empathy driven personality. Deep interest in equitable hiring practices. Prior experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, CRM’s, or other related recruitment software. Fluency in: social media platforms, job boards, Google suite, Microsoft suite, Strong understanding of labor and HR best practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
