Description:

A Day in the Life: Junior Sales and Service Coordinator
Hello and thank you for clicking on our link. We are looking for someone (hopefully you) to join our team and help us continue our growth and success.
Welcome to a typical day at Bakery Combinations Australia, where you’ll play a key role in keeping our Operations running smoothly! You work together with every part of the company, a real jack-of-all trades, always ready to jump on the next thing to help with.
9AM – Start your day with a coffee.. and a plan!
You start the Breville and make a nice coffee, and settle in at your desk next to the rest of our team. First up, you check your emails and prioritize the tasks for the day. There’s a request from the Sales team for a new customer quotation, a spare parts inquiry to follow up on, and some travel arrangements to finalize for an upcoming business trip. Time to dive in!
10AM – Creating Quotations
The Sales Manager has asked for two quotations; a loyal customer wants to invest in another mixer, and a new lead has come in for ovens for another customer. You use the tools and templates provided, ensuring the details are accurate and complete. You send this to the Sales Manager for evaluation. Next, you tackle a spare parts quotation for a regular client. With an eye for detail, you double-check everything before sending it out.
11.30AM – The Phone Rings
The phone rings and you pick up, ready to help. A customer has a quick question about their service visit last week. You look up the details in our ERP system, provide them with an update, and make a note to inform the Service Coordinator if further action is needed. The call wraps up quickly, and the customer is satisfied.
12.30PM – Lunch Break
It is nice and sunny so you take your food to the balcony, where you chat with your co-workers, excitedly sharing them what you have planned for the quarterly team outing.
1.30PM – Operations Meeting
You join the Operations meeting with the Sales, Spare Parts, Logistics and Afterservice teams to discuss upcoming priorities. Everyone shares updates, and you note how your tasks fit into the bigger picture. There are also nice artisanal pastries to enjoy from a customer close by. You’re an essential cog in the machine, making sure no details slip through the cracks. You discuss what would be best to focus on this week, and head back to your desk.
2.30PM – What next?
After the Operations Meeting, you check what is left on your to-do list. Yesterday, Spare Parts was quite busy, today it seems fine. You decide to check in with the Sales team and ask if there is anything else you can help with. They tell you there are an order that can be placed, as well as a budgetary letter to be prepared for a large project.
After that, you check in with Service; quite some calls came in while you were working and Service can use the help to work through all of the requests.
4PM – Wrapping Up The Day
With most of the urgent work done, you turn to some proactive tasks: A Sales Manager is going on a business trip soon, so you book the required flights, rental cars and hotels. You continue organizing some Service files, check our social media accounts, and do a hand-over with the Logistics Coordinator. They are going on a small vacation, and you will briefly fill in while they are gone.
5PM – Logging Off
You wrap up your tasks for the day and make a note of what’s on tomorrow’s agenda. With everything organized, you head home, knowing you’ve made a real impact in keeping things running smoothly at Bakery Combinations Australia.
Your role at Bakery Combinations is one with much variety. You work with all of the departments, helping out and sometimes even filling in if needed. You will become skilled at many different important tasks within our company, which ensures that the job will be dynamic. We work in our office in a nice open office, and work from home once a week.
Does This Sound Like You? If you’re detail-oriented, quick on your feet, and love variety in your day, we’d love for you to join our team as the Junior Sales and Service Coordinator! No two days are the same, and your contributions will help us deliver exceptional service to the baking industry.
