What is the Business Development Traineeship?

We are offering a national intake of 3 junior sales representatives a 12-month sales traineeship. What’s included?

  • A 12-month program with a tailored curriculum, merging on-site hands-on experience with a professional third-party mentor. Peacock Bros have engaged a dedicated sales coach to mentor and guide you through a tailored curriculum, offering a mix of group-lead modules and learning with 1:1 mentorship support.
  • In depth product training. You will dedicate one quarter per core pillar of our business to lean and understand each unique offering of Peacock Bros alongside our product experts, before rotating to the next pillar.
  • Comprehensive support network – a professional sales mentor, hands on internal senior sales manager support, colleague-lead leaning and shadowing, alongside fellow Business Development Trainees.
  • Clear markers of success with mid-point and end-point assessments, as-you-go feedback, dedicated 1:1 time with senior sales managers to walk through upcoming opportunities or guidance through deals in your pipeline.
  • Understanding of business operations and commercial acumen. We will offer dedicated time to build your knowledge on all the “ins and outs” of the business. You’ll understand the mechanics of the business – from raw material to output goods, the commerciality of the business, the business’ position in the market etc.

At the end of the 12-month program, you will be ready to dive into your sales career with full confidence!

The finer details

  • 12-month fixed term role + successful trainees will be offered a Business Development Manager role at the conclusions.
  • Base salary + car allowance + commission structure
  • 4 – 6 weeks to settle in before diving into the sales program.
  • Interstate + local travel is required in this program.
