WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW / HAVE:

  • Current MSc or PhD student
  • Background in Biology, Chemistry, Medical science, or Bioinformatics
  • Strong written, listening, communication and organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn scientific processes, drug discovery and development process, and regulatory requirements as necessary to solve business problems
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities
  • Cooperate with scientists to gather and document scientific business requirements, user stories, business processes/workflows for new IT solutions.
  • Gains expertise in the business areas as well as technical aspects of the IT solution.
  • Contribute to prototyping and building state of the art informatics tools, pipelines and dashboard, which solve biological problems.
  • Principles of software development life cycle (SDLC), User Experience (UX) and Agile Development (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Using product management tools including Jira, Confluence and Mural.
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Establish relationships with scientists from different MSD laboratories around the World, with opportunities for short-term company visit abroad as part of your future career in MSD.
