About the Role
Are you enthusiastic about hospitality and eager to grow your career in the restaurant and wine industry? Join The Lookout Restaurant at Gray Monk Estate Winery as a Junior Server! In this role, you will provide vital support to the service team, delivering outstanding guest experiences while developing expertise in food and beverage service.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver Memorable Guest Experiences

  • Adhere to The Lookout’s Standards of Service to ensure a consistent and high-quality dining experience.
  • Stay informed about all menu items, changes, and modifications to confidently assist guests and answer questions.

Support Team Development

  • Complete all training, tests, quizzes, and performance reviews promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with the service team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Communicate and Collaborate

  • Articulate the restaurant’s food philosophies to guests confidently.
  • Communicate guest needs, changes, or requests effectively with the kitchen, management, and team members.

Administrative and Safety Duties

  • Maintain up-to-date availability in Dayforce and notify management of any personal information changes.
  • Follow all safe work procedures and report any unsafe conditions or hazards to management.

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Attend all scheduled training and staff meetings.
  • Be prepared to work in various environments, including outdoor settings during extreme summer heat (up to 40°C) or cooler spring and fall weather conditions.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak summer months.
  • Handle occasional mental stress due to the fast-paced nature of high guest volumes and seasonal events.
