We are hiring a Junior Server in a rare opportunity to join the Michelin Recommended team serving up farm to table food and award winning wines at Trius Estate.
The Junior Server is always friendly, courteous and efficient; displaying professional body language and appropriate eye contact at all times. The Junior Server is an expert about style of cuisine, menu items within the restaurant and group spaces. The Junior Server is flexible with regards to required tasks during service. The key function of the Junior Server is to provide support for the service team; including food and beverage (including alcohol) service.

Responsibilities

Guest Satisfaction

  • Adhering to the Property’s Standards of Service on a day to day basis. Responsible for ensuring that they are informed of all changes and modifications made to the menu so to be fully prepared should a guest have any questions during their contact.

Human Resource

  • Ensuring all training tests and quizzes are completed and handed in to Manager on Duty in a timely manner. Completing all surveys and performance reviews as asked by your Manager on Duty.

Communication / Organization

  • Is always able to articulate the restaurant food philosophies. Must be able to communicate effectively with the kitchen, restaurant management team & other team members and changes, request or needs to ensure high quality dining experiences for our guests.

Administration

  • Required to inform the Manager on Duty of any changes made to name, address, contact information or banking.

Health & Safety

  • Follows safe work procedures and practices and reports all unsafe working conditions/hazards to their reporting Manager.
  • As per provincial (Smart Serve) stipulations, employees under the age of 18 may not be involved in the handling or serving of alcohol. This includes setting up wine bottles for guest experiences, clearing used stemware, stocking fridges/displays, etc.
