Raymond West is looking for a detailed Junior Service Writer to join our team! This position will generate all quotes for the service department related to service recommendations made during routine maintenance as well as opportunities presented through Customer Care Representatives or Core Sales.   Raymond West is committed to providing our customers with end-to-end warehouse solutions. Our customers trust us to provide the right supply chain solutions and services to keep their business up and running.   Duties and Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.    * Create quotes for repairs needed. * Provide alternative quotes when multiple repair options are available. * Present quotes to customers directly or to appropriate sales or service representatives as needs dictate. * Follow up with customers on needed repairs, track quotes submitted and approved. * Assist other departments in generating quoted jobs for the service department. * Ordered parts that may be needed for repairs and coordinated with team leader on logistics. Required Skills/Abilities:  * Excellent written and verbal communication skills  * Excellent Organizational Time Management skills * Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software   * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals   * Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments * Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required * Become familiar with all Raymond West equipment that is being serviced or sold by Raymond * Ability to attend online classes to update/improve various skills * Proficiency in understanding DMS, CRM, Service Channel or similar programs * Capability to make sound decisions * Must be able to present a clean, neat appearance * Must be able to utilize time efficiently * Ability to deal with customers via electronic communication such as emails * Ability to work in conjunction with other departments as needed * Willing and able to learn quickly and perform accurately and neatly with a degree of flexibility and independence * Must be able to communicate and interface closely with employees, customers, vendors, and the management team * Strong interpersonal skills * Motivated to continuous self-development and training * Must be able to comply with the employee handbook Education/Experience:  Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position   * Recommended preferred experience: bachelor’s degree and 2 years of increasingly more responsible administrative experience. * 1-year minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. Responsibilities
The Junior Service Writer will create and present quotes for repairs needed in the service department and follow up with customers on those quotes. They will also assist other departments in generating quoted jobs and coordinate parts ordering for repairs.
