We at AVENDIS are currently looking to expand our SOC team with a (Junior) SOC Analyst (m/f/d) specializing in IT Security. Since our team is decentralized, you can work 100% remotely. Of course, you can also work from one of our locations at any time – it's entirely up to you!

Your responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of assigned customer environments in the SIEM tool (MS Sentinel) - acceptance, classification and assignment of occurring alerts
  • Support in creating and optimizing existing analytics rules and automation rules.
  • Review and processing of new tickets in the ITSM tool (SNOW)
  • Creation of monthly SOC reports for customers
  • Further development of knowledge management
  • Documentation of, among other things, attack patterns and defense options
  • Creation of vulnerability reports for customers

Your background:

  • Completed vocational training as an IT specialist or comparable knowledge, e.g., as a career changer, and extensive experience in the field of networks and/or monitoring.
  • Basic knowledge of IT security and common security frameworks (BSI IT Baseline Protection, ISO 27001, …) or specialist certifications is an advantage.
  • Experience in handling IT security incidents is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure / MS Sentinel / MS Defender 365 is an advantage.
  • Independent work, teamwork skills, strong analytical skills, high comprehension and a structured work style.
  • Fluent German, good English
  • Motivation to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call service
