Description

Description
The NISC IV program at Leidos is seeking a Jr. Software Developer to provide support of the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) Office of Performance Analysis, Data Integration and Modeling Group. You will use your knowledge of SQL to review and develop software applications related to the operation and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS). This support will also include innovative methodologies, processes, architectures, and technologies that support the transformation of FAA raw data into meaningful, useful, and actionable information to support business decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a BS degree and less than 2 of prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated work experience related to SQL.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to handle multiple tasking and deadlines.
  • Git/bitbucket for software configuration management.
  • Familiarity Jira for software workflow management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including MS Teams.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain FAA Public Trust Suitability prior to joining Leidos. To be eligible for the Public Trust you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident who has resided in the US for the past 3 years.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience developing systems that run 24/7.
  • Experience with AWS cloud.
  • Knowledge of containerization of components for software development.
  • Knowledge of the FAA’s Knowledge Services Network (KSN) (SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of the FAA SWIM data sources.
Come break things (in a good way). Then build them smarter.
We’re the tech company everyone calls when things get weird. We don’t wear capes (they’re a safety hazard), but we do solve high-stakes problems with code, caffeine, and a healthy disregard for “how it’s always been done.”
Responsibilities

You will assist AJR-G in developing software applications and the development of cloud solutions for existing databases. You will also support the development of a shared platform by which a program/system can be modularly integrated. Provide technical support for completion of lifecycle system design and analysis. Other related duties as assigned.
