ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Hands-on experience in developing desktop applications using Java 8.
• Hands-on experience in Restful API design and structure.
• Experience in SQL and database design and development.
• Experience of source code control systems such as Git.
• Strong communication skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Experience of System installation / administration.
• Knowledge of design patterns, data structures, algorithms.
• Experience with desktop front end development frameworks such as Swing
• Experience of Apache ANT and Maven

JOB PURPOSE:

• Designing, developing, delivering and maintaining software across the entire business in Java.
• Working on a wide range of projects such as Restful API design and development, Payment systems, CRM, and Stock Management to name a few as well as integration with third party APIs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Solving problems through delivering impactful software.
• Identifying system improvements.
• Designing and developing of existing and new APIs.
• Liaising with a variety of stakeholders and clients to ensure the needs of the business and our customers are met.
• Supported role, working in a small but very important IT/Tech/Dev team
