Job Description Role: Junior IT Software Developer Job Type: Permanent Location: Ellesmere Port, 1 day per week working from home Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm Salary: Competitive salary We are looking for a Junior IT Software Developer to join our Digital & Innovation team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow their skills while contributing to real business projects. You’ll help design, develop and support software solutions that improve processes and enhance internal systems. Working closely with senior developers and stakeholders, you’ll gain experience across the full development lifecycle—from understanding requirements and writing clean code to testing, documentation and deployment. This is a great opportunity for a motivated developer eager to learn, collaborate and build high‑quality applications using modern web technologies. Support the development and maintenance of software applications that help improve business processes and internal efficiency. Write clean, well‑structured code and assist with fixing bugs and enhancing existing systems. Work with stakeholders and senior developers to understand requirements and help translate them into technical tasks. Keep project updates, documentation and development time clearly recorded within Monday.com. Learn and contribute to modern development practices, including CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and participating in code reviews. Qualifications Experience in software development. Experience with web‑based technologies, such as C#, .NET, MySQL (or similar). Understanding of software development principles, debugging and basic testing practices. Willingness to learn new tools, technologies and development approaches. Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
