JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Junior Software Developer with deep expertise in WCAG 2.2 accessibility compliance and Google Analytics. This role will support a public sector web environment to ensure full AODA compliance, optimize website usability and performance, and transfer knowledge to internal teams. You will be a key contributor to accessibility auditing, technical development, reporting, and training.

MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE:

• Professional WordPress development experience.
• Strong knowledge of custom theme/plugin development in WordPress.
• Highly proficient in WCAG 2.2 and AODA web accessibility requirements.
• Skilled in accessibility tools: JAWS, NVDA, Narrator, VoiceOver, TalkBack, AXE, WAVE, etc.
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL.
• Proficient in Google Analytics, including creating complex custom reports.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• IAAP CPACC certification or other related accessibility credentials.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
