Job Details Job Location: Big Ideas Learning LLC - Erie, PA Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $80000.00 - $110000.00 Salary Job Category: Information Technology About the Role The junior software engineer role supports the technology department through all aspects of the software development lifecycle and assists in the creation of software that meets the needs of all stakeholders. Additionally, the role contributes to the software development processes and ensures the proper security, performance, documentation, and functionality of both new and existing software. Job Responsibilities: Adhere to and influence software development best practices and department goals. Develop new software systems and features. Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements to existing software systems. Help implement strategies to improve cross-departmental process improvement. Effectively communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders to design and achieve elegant solutions. Participate in code reviews. Provide clear and concise instructions to fellow team members through documentation. Perform other role-related duties as assigned. Requirements for this Role: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred. Understanding of the software development lifecycle, software architecture, and Agile processes. Experience with full stack development. Familiarity with version control systems (ex. Git) Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SQL and relational DB design a plus.
