Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Good understanding of basic programming concepts.
  • Basic knowledge or experience with one object-oriented programming language such as Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, etc.
  • Experience with or understanding of X Unit Frameworks such as J-Unit.
  • Experience with or understanding of React or Spring Boot.
  • Experience with or understanding of API or Web Component development.
  • Experience with Git or other version control tools.
  • Experience with O365, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of or exposure to Agile methodologies.
  • Strong technical skills, business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand business and software solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in daily team stand-ups.
  • Engage fully in a series of experiential learning sessions covering key Huntington software development practices.
  • Gain hands-on experience with source control, test-driven and behavior-driven development, modern build tools, and container technologies.
  • Work with automated scanning tools to ensure the quality and security of work.
  • Collaborate with peers to build and manage pipelines supporting software deployments.
  • Contribute to group discussions and working sessions; and share learning with peers and mentors.
  • Prepare to join one of Technology’s software development teams, equipped with the skills, mindset, and confidence to deliver real value for that team.
  • Participate in presentations and demos at various internal technology forums.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings as needed.
  • Actively communicate with team and leadership on assignment status, wins, and challenges.
