What We’re Looking For: HSLLC is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Software Engineer familiar with Ruby on Rails & LLMs to join our innovative team. REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
• Demonstrated ability to build and showcase functional applications or projects (e.g., personal projects, open-source contributions, academic work). We’d love to see something cool or interesting you’ve built that displays a high level of competency!
• Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS).
• Comfort with the command line and common development tools.
• Basic understanding of SQL and database interactions.
• A strong aptitude for learning new technologies quickly, with a familiarity with AI concepts and their application.
• Some familiarity with the pharmacy industry, Pharmacoeconomics, or related healthcare fields (e.g., PBM, health plan) is a significant plus.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a primarily remote environment.
• Experience with Git version control.
• A good eye for improving & automating existing processes that will streamline business

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is a plus but not required. We value practical skills and a strong portfolio/demonstration of ability over formal education.

• Develop, implement, and maintain web-based applications using mainly Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate closely with teammates to write clean, efficient, and testable code.
• Develop new features and functionality for existing web applications, including exploring and integrating AI-driven solutions.
• Write and execute test cases to ensure high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Continuously learn and explore new technologies and trends in web development, including AI applications and AWS services.
• Work effectively in a team environment, contributing to project planning and execution.
• Assist in translating abstract ideas and project requirements into technical solutions.
• Comfortably operate within a command-line environment for development and deployment tasks.
