Junior Software Engineer

We are currently recruiting a Junior Software Engineer (m/f/x),
to enforce our Technology Team in Bussum.
The Technology Team of the Central Services team, located in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom and consists of more than 50 specialists who are responsible for the reporting, accounting, legal, compliance, tax, investor relations, HR, marketing & communication, technology and information management functions of the entire Waterland group. The Waterland group is active throughout Europe with 13 offices in 11 countries.
What will be your impact?
The position entails a full-stack development position

working on our web application, including:

• Backend development
• Frontend development
• Data engineering
• AI feature implementation

TEAM STRUCTURE

• Based in Bussum with hybrid working model (1 day/week in office)
• New startup-like unit within the firm
• Led by a Senior Software Engineer
• Supported by our Technology Team
  Be your true self
  We are seeking candidates (m/f/x) who can meet the following requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field(or equivalent experience)
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Experience with modern programming languages and design patterns
• Understanding of SQL databases
• Knowledge of web technologies and RESTful APIs
• Experience with Git version control
• No professional experience required; recent graduates welcome

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Go programming language experience (training provided)
• Active GitHub profile with personal projects
• Experience in:
• Web scraping
• Data aggregation and processing
• Frontend development
• AI/ML applications
• Background in Fintech, economics, or investments

As regards your personality:

• Passion for working with large datasets and distributed systems
• Interest in financial technology and private equity
• Eagerness to learn Go development
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication abilities
