IT’S MORE THAN JUST A JOB

As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our clients. By doing so with precision, you contribute not only to the success of your team but also to the daily operations and overall success of the warehouse and distribution centers. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. At Kuehne+Nagel, our work truly contributes to more than we imagine.

The Junior Architect supports the early stages of solution development across Kuehne & Nagel’s CL verticals, including Consumer, Pharma, Aerospace, and Government & Defence. The role contributes to the discovery, design, and costing of technical solutions that meet business requirements, support tender responses and align with internal standards.
Reporting to Head of Solution Architects, the Junior Architect collaborates with Business Development, Operations, Solution Engineers and IT to interpret RFIs/RFQs, define solution scope, build cost estimates using the SCT (Solution Costing Tool), and support the production of design artefacts and bid collateral.

SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Experience reviewing RFIs/RFQs and identifying solution requirements
  • Understanding of solution costing principles and tools
  • Ability to document business requirements and technical assumptions clearly
  • Familiarity with architecture design artefacts such as BRDs, SDs, Traceability Matrices, and SoWs
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for both technical and business audiences
  • Competent with Microsoft Office, Visio/Lucid charts
  • Awareness of logistics systems (WMS, TMS, EDI) and IT infrastructure principles

CAPABILITIES:

  • Structured and detail-oriented approach to tasks
  • Strong documentation and organisational skills
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders across technical and business domains
  • Able to manage multiple inputs and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to travel inside and outside of the UK
  • Ability to work with broader teams.
