Job Description Assist the Head Sommelier in managing the wine cellar, including inventory control and stock rotation. Provide wine recommendations to guests based on their preferences and food pairings. Serve wine and beverages in accordance with service standards. Support in the creation and maintenance of the wine list. Conduct wine tastings and staff training sessions to enhance wine knowledge. Ensure proper storage, handling, and presentation of all wines. Stay updated on wine trends, regions, and vintages. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wine cellar and service areas. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop wine pairings for seasonal menus. Qualifications Certification from a recognized wine education body (e.g., WSET Level 2 or higher) preferred. Previous experience in a fine dining or hospitality environment is an advantage. Strong passion for wine and a desire to grow within the sommelier profession. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to high service standards.
