Job Description As a Junior Sous Chef, you will be trade qualified and engaged to perform general or specialised cooking, butchering, baking or pastry cooking duties. You’ll help run the show by overseeing operations, managing a talented team, and making sure every dish is top-notch. You’ll be involved in menu planning, mentoring junior chefs, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly. If you love leading a team, working in a fast-paced environment, and keeping things organised, this is the role for you! Your experience and skills include: Previous experience with a high level of responsibility within a kitchen brigade. Have strong background in Italian cuisine and pizza preparation including dough hand-stretching skills Experience working within a hotel environment is highly regarded. Exposure to managing day-to-day staffing requirements, planning and assigning work, and motivating team members to achieve daily goals. Strong knowledge of food safety practices. The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings and on weekends.
