Description

JUNIOR SOUS CHEF CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to deliver consistently high-quality food and a great guest experience
  • Confident working across all kitchen sections with flexibility and attention to detail
  • Capable of executing prep for all food service operations as directed by senior chefs
  • Knowledge of food safety practices,including Check 365 temperature entries
  • Ability to complete accurate section orders and maintain stock levels
  • Awareness of equipment maintenance and prompt reporting of any faults
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to train and support CDPs within assigned sections
  • A role model who champions culture,morale,and motivation within the kitchen
  • Ability to manage prep volumes based on cover count
  • Ensure all prep is reviewed and signed off by a senior team member
  • Quickly escalate food quality or service issues to the Sous Chef
  • Confident in supervising a section during service and ensuring team standards
  • Strong communication with senior chefs on team and building-related concerns
  • Ability to lead the team in the absence of a Sous Chef or during their holidays
  • Organised approach to shift handovers and prep planning
