EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in a similar role within premium or hatted venues
  • Leadership experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchens
  • Familiarity with woodfire or grill-focused cuisine is a bonus
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the daily kitchen operations, working closely with our Executive Chef and Head Chef. You’ll help lead and motivate the team, ensure consistency of execution across all sections, and play a key part in maintaining our standards. In the absence of senior chefs, you will oversee the pass and drive service with focus and precision.
This is a full-time position suited to ambitious chefs who are passionate about quality produce, open-fire cooking, and developing within a team striving for culinary excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support day-to-day kitchen operations and lead shifts when required
  • Mentor and guide junior chefs and apprentices
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and consistency
  • Assist with ordering, stock control and rostering
