REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or strong experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Experience working in both à la carte and banqueting environments is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards during busy service times.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, hygiene, and presentation for both bistro service and hotel functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, including bistro service and banqueting functions.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Support the Head Chef in menu planning, stock control, and supplier management.
  • Maintain the highest levels of hygiene and safety standards in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, helping to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure smooth service during busy periods, including weddings, conferences, and other hotel events.
  • Contribute creatively to menu development and special event offerings.
