As Junior Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in our kitchen operations. You’ll also be able to showcase your creativity and expertise while ensuring the highest food quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and execute menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
  • Oversee the kitchen’s day-to-day operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Manage inventory and control food costs to maximise profitability.
  • Assist in training and developing kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes.
  • Uphold Good Times Pubs & Bars’ food quality standards, portion control, and presentation.
  • Support the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and special events.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
  • Passion for food and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Right to work in the UK.
