  • Food Safety and HACCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, and hygiene, while supporting the training and development of the wider kitchen team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations and daily food preparation.
  • Supervise, support, and motivate the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and high performance.
  • Lead by example in food preparation, cooking, and presentation across all sections.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new dishes, specials, and menu items.
  • Maintain strong stock control, assist with ordering, and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Enforce and uphold food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times.
  • Support staff scheduling, shift planning, and labour management.
  • Mentor and coach junior chefs to enhance skills and career growth.
  • Take charge of the kitchen during the Head Chef’s absence when required.
