This is your chance to join the team at the small friendly award winning restaurant.
We are looking for a junior sous chef to join our team on a permanent basis.
Our ethos at Wedgwood is “Placing food first” so you’ll be working with fresh, seasonal, local ingredients - supporting other talented, experienced chefs to deliver a great experience every time.

We always try to promote from within, there is always an option to move up the ranks.
Salary range starting from £30-£32K basic, with an additional £8-£10k gratuities per annum (paid weekly using the tronc system), plus an annual performance bonus.
4 day working week including weekends.
We are closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day each year and close for the first 3 weeks of every January.
Working daily with a large array of wild foraged ingredients.
Experience in a similar standard restaurant would be of benefit.
Life in the kitchen is hectic, but exciting. After all, this is one of the only careers with a 15-minute deadline on everything you do. As our Chef, you’ll need strong food preparation skills and be confident in cooking. - and you’ll thrive under that constant time pressure.
Most importantly, you’ll share our passion for fresh wild food. You’ll take great pride in helping to create tasty dishes, and you’ll relish the ‘compliments to the chef’ that come back from diners.
A hygiene qualification and knowledge of food safety is desirable here, but you’ll need people skills too. You must be an excellent team player, calm under pressure
You’ll have great communication skills and a real love of food. Set yourself high standards and believe you can really add a positive aspect to our award winning restaurant.
