POSITION OVERVIEW
Salary range: A reasonable estimate for this position is $55,00, Step 1 - $58,600, Step 2
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position provides technical, scientific and organizational assistance to Dr. Ermias Kebreab’s research program in the Department of Animal Science, which focuses on the impact of feed additives and microbiome engineering on reducing methane emissions from cattle. The research is designed to understand how feed additives and microbial engineering reduce enteric methane emissions and production traits in ruminants. The research contributes to both the generation of fundamental knowledge about enteric emissions and improved understanding of reducing impact of livestock on climate change.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
BSc. Degree in animal science or related fields.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
Experience working with animals
Preferred qualifications (other preferred, but not required, qualifications for the position)
Experience in working with trials involving feed additives and methane measurements using GreenFeed.
