G+D is looking for a Junior Strategy Analyst (m/f/d) for its Strategy & Marketing department in its Payment Technology business as soon as possible.The Junior Strategy Analyst plays a crucial role in shaping G+D Payment Technology’s future via contribute to defining the strategic development of the PayTech business of G+D, via quantitative strategy analysis, mid- to long-term business planning, scenario-analysis, and various strategic projects, focusing on the card payments industry.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have completed your Master’s or Diploma in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field with above-average
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience with Consulting and/or Strategy in a B2B industry context
  • Strong data analysis skills to conduct and interpret quantititative and financial data
  • Experience with AI-tools for analytical & research work is an advantage
  • Prior experience with retail payments and Business Development is a plus
  • Ability to work as a strongly empowered and self-driven individual contributor
  • Aiming at top quality and reliability regarding details of work esp. regarding quantitative analysis
  • Strong intercultural skills, embracing diversity of opinions & styles
Responsibilities
  • Strategic planning for the division, collaborating with field experts, business lines, and finance, preparation of the regular strategy plans and topical reviews (on quantitative and narrative levels)
  • Market intelligence: estimation and regular review of card market size, market shares, prognosis and simulation thereof; regular analysis of quarterly financial reports of competitors
  • M&A: data analysis, contribution to Due Diligence and decision preparation,
  • Leading selected strategic projects, coordinating with internal multiple stakeholders,
  • Managing a small team of work students (on-site and remote); and leveraging AI-tools for efficiency
  • Regular briefings about key competitor data and card payments topics,
  • Collaboration with other divisions and at group level on payments-related projects
