APX Engineering Group, LLC (APX) is pleased to offer the position of Staff Engineer. This is an entry to beginning-experience level position where the qualified candidate must be able to accomplish tasks, once trained by us in the wireless telecommunications industry, with little or no supervision to include, but not limited to:
1. Performing Telecommunication Tower Analyses and Retrofit Designs.
2. Performing Existing Rooftop and Ground-Mounted Equipment Platform Analyses.
3. Performing New Rooftop and Ground-Mounted Equipment Platform Designs.
4. Performing Structural Surveys of Existing Structures.
5. Performing Field Inspections. Must be able to perform indoor and/or outdoor inspections and have ability to climb ladders and stairs requiring agility and moderate physical exertion
6. Preparing Calculation Reports and Jurisdiction Comment Responses.
7. Demonstrating Basic Understanding of Electrical and Grounding Systems.
8. Drafting plans and details in AutoCAD.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. Structural steel design and knowledge of determining loading is required.
B. Experience working with AutoCAD as well as structural analysis software such as RISA-3D and tnxTower is preferred.
C. Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment is a must.
D. Successful completion of the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam is preferred.
