Job Description General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada is looking for a Junior System Integration & Verification Engineer (SI&V) to join the Bowman product development team in Calgary, to support ongoing future capability development. Bowman is the tactical communications system integrating digital voice and data technology to provide secure radio, telephone, intercom and tactical internet services in a modular and fully integrated system. The successful candidate will be responsible for test planning, definition, execution, reporting and supporting lab setup and configuration activities. Services consist of on-platform and off-platform communications, network data routing and forwarding, radio communications, Headquarter communications (fiber, Non-Line of Sight), battle management and system management along with email, chat, and other IT services such as custom applications products. The responsibilities and range of activities will vary, but in general will include: Integration & Testing Perform firmware and software integration testing on developmental builds. Develop and execute product-level integration and verification test procedures. Support customer installation, integration, and system test activities. Requirements & Documentation Review subsystem and product requirements, interface control documents, and design artifacts. Analyze and document test results through detailed test reports. Identify, investigate, and document defects; verify implemented fixes. Lab & Automation Support lab setup, configuration, and maintenance for SI&V activities. Generate and maintain automation scripts to support efficient and repeatable testing workflows. Collaboration & Planning Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the development cycle. Provide input into project schedules, risk assessments, and progress reporting. Participate in internal/external test events, including occasional travel. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). Minimum 1+ years of relevant co-op, internship, or project experience. Strong problem-solving skills, ownership of work, and eagerness to learn. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision. Experience planning, developing, and executing integration or qualification tests. Experience identifying defects, analyzing root cause, and verifying resolutions. Familiarity with test engineering processes and testing tools. Preferred Experience with test automation scripting. Knowledge or experience using requirements management tools. Background or exposure to radios, voice/data networks, and IP networking. Experience interpreting technical documentation such as ICDs or design specs.
