REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience.; 6 years with HS Diploma
  • Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity
  • Experience with a data center and installing equipment, IT components
  • Experience with servers, SAN, cabling, VM a plus
  • Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Experience with SNOW or other ITSM tools
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency Clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active MBI clearance

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring! We are looking for a Junior Systems Administrator that will support our MIDS Data Center in Memphis TN. This role is onsite with call rotation.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

  • Work with site lead and take direction for daily activities
  • Performs coordination of associated activities for facilities management and material/equipment handling, must work on-site at a customer data center in Memphis, TN.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information or fulfill requests/change orders/problem tickets
  • Complete site audits and report to Hardware Asset Manager
  • Maintains infrastructure rack and power diagrams and makes reports as needed
  • May serve as backup
  • While performing the duties of this job, the resource is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl
  • The employee may also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more
  • Building out racks and placing servers and network hardware in racks, connecting cables power and configuring ilo ports for management access.
