Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a proactive and technically capable Junior Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our IT environment. As the sole IT contributor, you’ll work cross-functionally and take full ownership of our internal systems; from day-to-day user support and device management to network administration, infrastructure oversight, vendor management and cybersecurity systems.
This role is pivotal in aligning business operations with scalable, secure technology solutions; as our systems and security posture have matured, this role has grown beyond basic helpdesk support. You will be directly responsible for the performance, reliability, and security of all IT systems and your work will have company-wide impact on efficiency, integrity, and long-term technical scalability. This is a hands-on, high-ownership position ideal for someone who thrives as a technical generalist, communicates clearly well with non-technical teams, and is eager to have a career driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, digitally driven business environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary IT contact for stakeholders and department managers.
  • Manage and administer device management systems across Windows and macOS devices.
  • Coordinate and maintain the IT asset lifecycle: procurement, setup, deployment, retirement, and inventory tracking.
  • Administer and enforce cybersecurity protocols, including endpoint protection and identity access controls, in coordination with security vendors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues efficiently.
  • Manage SaaS and internal application platforms (user accounts, permissions, troubleshooting, license management).
  • Maintain IT documentation: system configurations, procedures, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for infrastructure, support tools, and service contracts.
  • Lead small-scale IT improvement projects (e.g., new software rollout, system upgrades).
  • Stay informed with emerging technologies and security risks to recommend proactive improvements.
