Description Job Title: Junior Systems Administrator Department: Operations – Services Reports To: RavenTek Project Manager Location: Hurlburt AFB, FL (must live within driving distance) Schedule: Panama Shift – 12-hour shifts (Rotating Schedule) Hours: Full Time 30+ per week (varies per week) FLSA Status: Hourly Exempt Clearance: Top Secret/SCI Position Summary The Junior Systems Administrator provides systems administration and technical support for IT systems supporting AFSOC PED operations. This role assists with system maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support to ensure the availability and reliability of infrastructure supporting 24/7/365 mission operations across all PED sites. This position operates on a Panama Schedule. The performance of this position is key to RavenTek's performance on the contract, and therefore RavenTek's mission to support the customer. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide first-tier technical support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware. Coordinate with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development teams to restore service and identify and correct core problems. Simulate and reproduce user-reported problems to diagnose operating issues, system errors, and application failures. Recommend system improvements or configuration changes to reduce user issues. Assist with CERP cycle rollouts to include hardware installation and setup. Escalate complex technical issues to intermediate or senior level support personnel when necessary. Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period. Submit MSRs on a regular basis, as determined by manager. Monitor RavenTek email on a regular basis, at least 3 times per week, and respond accordingly. Complete required compliance training as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Critical Skills Software/Hardware Troubleshooting. Microsoft Windows Client. Microsoft Office. Network Infrastructure Cabling (Fiber/Copper). Education and Work Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience is required. Certifications, Licenses 8570 Security+ Special Requirements Top Secret/SCI Work Environment When working on-site, employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis. Physical Demands Employees need to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require the ability to work on a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Employees may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
