We’re looking for a Junior Technical Writer to help us create and maintain clear, accurate, and helpful documentation that supports our users and enhances their understanding of our product. You’ll focus on maintaining our knowledge base and release notes, ensuring customers always have access to the most up-to-date and easy-to-follow product information. Your work will directly impact key goals such as reducing support tickets, accelerating onboarding, and driving product activation and adoption by helping users quickly find answers and master Atera’s capabilities. What You’ll Do Write, edit, and maintain user-facing documentation, including knowledge base articles, setup guides, and release notes. Create video walkthroughs and guides that support our users and enhance their understanding of our product. Use AI-powered tools to research, draft, and edit content efficiently while maintaining a consistent tone and high quality. Collaborate with product and customer-facing teams to ensure documentation is accurate, clear, and addresses recurring user questions. Keep documentation up to date as features evolve. Organize content for readability and easy navigation and ensure consistency in style, tone, and terminology. Requirements What You Bring 1–2 years of experience as a technical writer or similar role (internship or freelance experience counts). Excellent writing and editing skills in English — clarity and attention to detail are key. Strong technical understanding - you’re comfortable exploring software, testing workflows, and understanding how systems connect. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language. Proficiency with AI-assisted writing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, Notion AI) to streamline research, drafting, and editing. Familiarity with content management or knowledge base tools (e.g., Zendesk, Notion, Confluence, Helpjuice, etc.). A curious, proactive mindset and willingness to learn about complex systems and workflows. Comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders across teams. Nice to Have Experience working in a SaaS or tech company. Basic understanding of IT management, cybersecurity, or automation concepts.
