Description

ABOUT OXEHEALTH

Safer, smarter mental health care: we have created the first patient monitoring platform for mental health hospitals.
Our platform supports staff day and night, across all aspects of care, from admission through to discharge.
Digitising key aspects of the observation process enables staff to capture richer patient data, free up time for therapeutic interactions and reduce disturbance during night checks.
In addition, the Oxehealth system captures medical-grade physiological data entirely contact-free. With continuous access to real-time patient data, staff gain enhanced situational awareness, enabling them to respond to risks, identify signs of deterioration and prevent avoidable harm.
Hospitals using our platform have scientifically proven to deliver safer, higher-quality and more efficient mental health care, benefitting their patients, their staff and their entire organisation.
We are in half of NHS mental health trusts in England, have customers in Sweden, and are rapidly expanding in the US.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Junior Technical Support Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will deploy our platform’s software to customer sites, investigate software issues to maintain platform performance and a good user experience, and review the performance of our algorithms.

Your day-to-day will involve using our in-house developed tools to:

  • Configure our software for customers and test that it performs well
  • Investigate issues when our platform is not working as expected and implement the solution, working with our development teams when required
  • Proactively review algorithm performance and highlight where there are areas for improvement

As we develop our own tools to support software configuration and software support, over time there will be the opportunity to help improve the tooling yourself and learn software development skills if it aligns with your interests and career ambitions.
This position will help drive our ability to scale the business and is designed to enable the successful candidate to grow their career with Oxehealth.

To be a success in this role you will:

  • Be methodical with excellent attention to detail
  • Be diligent and able to repeatedly perform the same task with a high degree of accuracy
  • Be curious, wanting to investigate areas that need fixing and improving
  • Be engaged with the product and what Oxehealth does – you want to make a difference
  • Have strong logical and pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • Have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate your work with colleagues
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities may change quickly
  • Enthusiastic about working in a team and motivated by contributing to the team’s success and supporting teammates

This role will provide an invaluable insight to anyone thinking about pursuing a career in software testing and deployment, and wider software support and development. It is well-suited to candidates that have a strong interest in technical systems, and healthcare-related technology.
Extensive training and onboarding will be undertaken to ensure you are well supported to be successful in the role.
