Compensation 10% Commission on all Junior Tennis Clinics. 10% Commission on all JCamps revenue in the summer 65% Commission on Private Instruction $18 Admin Rate for 15 hours/week About the Job We are seeking a passionate and energetic Junior Tennis Coordinator to lead and grow our junior tennis program. This position will work closely with Tennis Director, the Early Childhood department, and the Youth, and Teen department to cultivate a fun, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate tennis culture. The Junior Tennis Coordinator will also play a key role in overseeing summer tennis camp operations and supporting the growth and management of junior tennis teams. In addition to program coordination, the role allows for conducting private tennis lessons. Program Oversight: Manage all aspects of the junior tennis program, from beginners to advanced youth players. Ensure high-quality instruction, engagement, and development for all junior participants. Monitor participant progress and adjust programming to meet evolving needs. Collaboration & Culture Building: Work closely with the Tennis Director and Early Childhood and Youth & Teen departments to create an aligned and engaging culture. Develop initiatives and events to enhance the overall junior tennis experience and encourage long-term participation. Promote inclusivity, sportsmanship, and fun across all levels of junior tennis. Junior Team Development: Assist the Tennis Director in developing, managing, and growing junior tennis teams. Coordinate team schedules, practices, match play, and tournament participation. Identify and nurture talent through structured training programs. Instruction & Lessons: Provide private and group tennis lessons to juniors, focusing on skill development and personal improvement. Maintain a high level of professionalism and instructional quality in all lessons. Administrative Support: Assist in maintaining attendance, registration, and communication with families. Provide regular feedback and progress reports to parents. Ensure safety and proper use of equipment and facilities. Summer Responsibilities: Serve as the lead for JCamps Tennis (8 weeks) Design age-appropriate, engaging weekly camp schedules with a strong emphasis on fun, development, and participation. Lead seasonal staff and junior instructors, ensuring a safe and structured environment. Communicate with parents and guardians regularly about camp details. Collaborate with the Youth and Teen Department to create a great overall camp experience. Requirements Previous experience coaching or coordinating youth or junior tennis programs required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially with children and families. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage junior staff and volunteers. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Certification through USTA or other recognized tennis organization preferred. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed, especially during summer months. Required education and experience: NetGeneration Certification is required if teaching to children. USPTA/PTR certified. 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. Work environment: The tennis courts are outside, and the applicant will be expected to teach lessons year-round. Physical demands: Applicant should be able to lift up to 45 pounds and will perform regular tasks to keep the courts in proper playing shape. Position type and expected hours of work: This is a part time job that will include working evenings and weekends. Travel: There will be travel to and from Junior Team Tennis (JTT) matches.
