Over the last 15 years the SBI leadership team has raised over $1 Billion of capital across its platforms and is a fully-integrated real estate company with in-house acquisitions, asset management, development, property management, operations and accounting teams. SBI and affiliate companies have offices in Austin, Dallas, Chicago and Atlanta.
Single Bay Industrial is a growing real estate platform focused on the acquisition, development, and operating of small bay flex industrial business parks that serve local entrepreneurs and businesses in the DFW area and across Texas. Our current project in Little Elm, TX, involves developing 84,400 square feet of small bay product across 8 buildings. We are seeking a dedicated team player to help bring this vision to life and execute on the company’s strong pipeline.
Job Summary: We are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Real Estate Developer with 1-5 years of experience in construction or real estate development to support the planning, execution, and management of our small bay business park development. The ideal candidate will assist in all phases of the project, from site analysis to construction oversight and leasing, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in real estate development or construction, project management, or a similar role (experience with commercial or industrial projects preferred).
  • Strong understanding of real estate principles, including site selection, entitlements, and construction basics.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools such as Excel and project management software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the DFW market.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research and feasibility studies for potential development sites in the DFW area, with a focus on small bay commercial and industrial properties.
  • Source and assist in land acquisition, due diligence, zoning, permitting, and entitlement processes to ensure compliance with local regulations in Little Elm and surrounding areas.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to design and oversee construction phases, ensuring projects stay on budget and timeline.
  • Perform financial modeling, budgeting, and pro forma analysis to evaluate project viability and secure financing or partnerships.
  • Support marketing and leasing efforts for completed spaces, including tenant outreach and lease negotiations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Stay informed on DFW real estate trends, economic factors, and sustainability practices relevant to business park development.
