Meaningful Work From Day One
Aligned with Brown-Forman’s long-term brand building and profit growth strategies, this position seeks to optimize the route to new and existing consumers of the BF portfolio in the German distribution channels Liquor Stores, Wholesale as well as e-Commerce holistically.
This position’s scope is to positively influence consumer purchase behavior by supporting the Senior Trade Marketing Manager to drive physical and mental availability of our super premium brands portfolio and optimizing the customer approach especially in the Liquor Store & Wholesale channel (analog) and in the eCom (digital).
What You Can Expect

The role encompasses the responsibility for the full local translation of Brand Strategies into compelling channel strategies and customer activations for the Liquor Store, Wholesale & eCom channel with the support of the Senior Trade Marketing Manager. The responsibilities of this role incorporate:

  • Supports the annual set-up of optimal consumer & customer targets for the assigned channels in collaboration with Brand Management, Sales team (Key Account and Field Force Management) and other Marketing functions
  • Responsible for the development, planning, execution and evaluation of activations/ promotions for the Super Premium Brands (focus on Single Malts and Super Premium Whiskey) and tailormade activations/ promotions for the Brown-Forman portfolio within the supported customer groups including sourcing of materials, budget management and provision of sell-in materials
  • Leads & briefs external agencies on promotions and other activation projects
  • Aligns with Finance & Legal Department on correct accounting & approval of activities
  • Closely works together with the Trade Marketing Specialist Digital Shelf & eCom as well as the Key Account Management to understand how to combine customer needs and e-commerce needs into the overall Germany communications plan and to develop activations/ implementations for our brands
  • Supports Senior Trade Marketing Manager in the annual set-up of related A&P and COGS budgets for the supervised brands and independently tracks the budget for the managed promotions
  • Collaborates with the Market Category Consumer Insights (MCCI) Team Germany, Sales Liquor Store & Wholesale team (KAM, National Field Force Manager & Sales Reps) to gather relevant facts and consequently insights (e.g. via in-market tests & visits, studies etc.)
  • Participates in regional Field Force & selected brand and sales meetings as well as recurring field visits

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing or Sales) or trained e.g. Liquor store, agency partner
  • Ideally first work experience (1-2 years) with Liquor Store, Wholesale or eCom channel, Trade Marketing or Marketing
  • First expertise of project management with a high degree of organization and a good understanding of prioritization and time management
  • Reliable teamplayer with strong interpersonal communication skills who works in a respectful and inclusive manner
  • The right mix between dedication and pursuit of excellence and understanding for urgency and problem solving
  • Good knowledge level of marketing disciplines: Market analysis, strategy development, consumer/ shopper insights, creative development
  • Fluent German & English speaking and writing
  • Microsoft 365/ Office / Google applications
