JUNIOR TRADER

QUALIFICATIONS

Ø Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development as a Junior Trader (preferably in Soft Commodities or Fertilizer).
Ø Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, or Economics.
Ø Fluency in English and Hindi, both written and spoken, as you will liaise with clients and suppliers in both languages.
Ø Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ø Strong understanding of fertilizer trading and market trends.
Ø Experience in managing trade risk and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Ø Experience managing multinational business units.
Ø Solid experience in marketing, sales, or business development in a startup environment is a plus.
Ø Outstanding networking skills with the ability to forge partnerships.
Ø Ability to make informed and strategic business decisions.
Ø Proficient in Microsoft Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø Negotiate pricing, manage contracts, establish product specifications, and oversee shipping logistics.
Ø Initiate, manage, and execute marketing strategies.
Ø Conduct market research to identify potential trading opportunities in the fertilizer market.
Ø Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, and logistics teams to ensure smooth deal execution.
Ø Prepare and maintain trade documentation, contracts, and records.
Ø Support the senior trading team in managing relationships with clients and suppliers.
Ø Assist in responding to client inquiries and providing market updates.
Ø Develop a strong understanding of client needs and preferences.
Ø Assist in monitoring and managing risks associated with trading activities.
Ø Ensure compliance with company policies, trading limits, and regulatory requirements.
Ø Support the team in resolving any trade-related issues or disputes.
